Someone once commented that Burleigh Heads is more 'Byron' than Byron.  I'm sure when they made this comment that they were referring to all the local artists who live and thrive in the area.  But perhaps they were also referring to James Street.

The Village Markets combines the quirky style of some of the Gold Coast's most talented young and emerging fashion designers, artists, vintage buffs and more.

Held at Burleigh Heads State School oval on the first and third Sunday of each month from 8am - 1pm, with more than 90 stalls,The Village Markets are about showcasing exactly what the Coast has to offer as well as being a creative hub for locals.

The markets are an all encompassing event, as they are a hub for creative's, shoppers and event goers alike. Market goers browse whilst listening to the tunes of some of the Gold Coasts most talented musicians.

The Beachfront Art & Craft Market  is held on the last Sunday of every month at Burleigh Heads. Stalls, shaded by tall trees, line a grassy area next to the beach. 

The friendly, colourful atmosphere makes shopping for arts, crafts, local produce or even having your future told a pleasant way to spend a few hours.
